Right after our launch, the April issue of the Dutch magazine Emerce, covered yellowBird among the Start-up rally finalists. The beautiful picture of Rafael’s girlfriend, equiped with the yellowBird system on a ski slope in Italy was used to illustrate the item.
Official launch
On april 17th, the yellowBird concept was officially launched during the finals of the Next Web conference in Amsterdam. We expected many visitors to our first online demo, but despite the server capacity for 5000 simultaneous viewers of our demo, our web server could’t handle it.
We shot some nice footage one day prior to launch on the first day on the Next web conference in Amsterdam. This video will become available soon on the Next Web site.
