New Toyota Auris relaxing ride along VR experience!

Toyota will be present at the 50Plus annual fair and wanted to create the ultimate relaxing test drive experience. We teamed up with Launched.  to create this interactive booth.

Experience yourself the relaxing experience inside a Toyota Hybrid Auris by taking a seat in the relax chair put on the headset and GearVR relax, and forget your at the 50Plus annual fair for the next 5 minutes ….

Never a dull moment at the yellowBird offices during the summer months! We moved into our new office. And besides this we had to shoot some really exciting VR projects!

Our crews had to fly all over the world to capture the footage needed to create impactful immersive 360º experiences. Floating Markets in Bangkok for FOX Reizen, a Boutique cruiseship in Amsterdam for Uniworld, Grain fields in Leipzig for NewHolland, different locations in the UK for Universals next blockbuster, Rodeo Drive in LA …

VPRO in Virtual Reality

Op 18 juni 2015 gaat op het Mediapark Jaarcongres de eerste Virtual Reality-productie van de VPRO in premiere. Bij de serie De Volmaakte Mens heeft VPRO’s Medialab in samenwerking met yellowBird een VR-film gemaakt die met behulp van de speciale VPRO Cardboard en een smartphone te ervaren is. Vanaf 18 juni is de film hier gratis te downloaden.

De VPRO VR-app is vanaf 18 juni 2015 beschikbaar voor Android en iPhone.


Virtual tour Noord-Zuidlijn!

A new great yellowBird project! The municipality of Amsterdam asked us to create a VR experience of the Noord-Zuid line. The Noord-Zuid line is a massive 3.1 billion construction programme to build the second biggest transport hub in the city. The metro line includes a mixture of bored tunnels and immersed tunnels under the river IJ.

The virtual 360º MINI Story

In 2015, the BMW Museum will be presenting the new temporary exhibition all about the MINI automobile brand loved everywhere in the world. More than 30 fascinating original cars await the visitors as well as valuable exhibits and background stories.

Together with AKQA Amsterdam we came with the big idea to create an interactive VR tour of this MINI Exhibition.
Built in HTML5, including Clickable Hotspots to open additional content, 6 languages, iOS, Android, SamsungGear mode …

So rev up the yellowBird 360º video technology and take a spin through The Mini Story. This virtual tour takes you through half a century of MINI mania – from their iconic 1960’s models to the modern MINIs today, then on into the future with incredible concept cars and MINIs visions of tomorrow.

The focus is on the amazing variety of models, their great individual appeal and the thrillingly innovative MINI design. From the very beginnings of the classic space-saver MINI from 1959 to the modern MINI world which began in 2001. Undoubtedly the unusual and almost fantastical special creations will be great points of attraction: the MINI camp-mobile or the glamorous stretch limo with integrated jacuzzi.

The VR tour also highlights historic details and the spirit of times past with their social and political background. Original design sketches, films and photos are devoted to the most varied facets of the brand as well as to distinct phases of development and its cult status in popular culture since the swinging sixties. Climb aboard and find out what MINI stands for in person: The zest for life, a long and glorious tradition, British style and international flair.

The 360º Champions League stadium Samsung Gear VR Experience –

Heineken has unveiled the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour in the USA. This year, U.S. fans will get to experience the passion of the UEFA Champions League with a rare chance to get close to the ultimate prize. The tour started in March. will give fans the opportunity to snap a selfie with one of the world’s most celebrated trophies, view an interactive UEFA Champions League exhibit featuring legendary game-worn gear and meet some of the tournament’s biggest stars.

yellowBird in close collaboration with TBWA\United States of Fans, Heineken and the UEFA ,were responsible for the production of the interactive 360º UEFA Champions League exhibit part. We produced thrilling interactive 360º video UEFA Champions League experience on the Samsung GearVR! Camera’s near the dug out, a tunnel cam, and being close to the players gave you a real front row seat during the PSG vs. Chelsea match in Parc des Princes in Paris.

Google Night Walk won a Webby Award

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. This prestigious American Award is handed out annual and makes a difference between jury award The Webby Award and the public award The People’s Voice Award.

A Google Night Walk through Marseille won the Technical Achievement Peoples Voice Award. 72andSunny designed the experience with Media Monks & yellowBird in which visitors can virtually walk through the centre of Marseille at night and watch all kinds of interactive movies and see added information. The walk lets visitors explore the sounds, the streets and the soul of the city, at night, but in the perfect safety of one’s own home.
