Courvoisier – Harrods – iPad app

UK agency Metropolis asked our lucky London crew to join them at the World famous wine cellars of Harrods department store for an exclusive presentation of the Worlds oldest and finest cognacs by Courvoisiers Master Blender Patrice Pinet and brand ambassador Rebecca Asseline.

The tour uses yellowBirds Surround Video technology which takes the viewer through the experience, linked by a number of floating hotspots which give the viewer a sensory journey into the brand with traditional video showcasing the ingredients used to create the liquid gold, as well as documentary footage and a presentation by Rebecca and Patrice.

US Agency Cannonball challenged yellowBird to capture a thrilling 190mph ride with legendary Nascar racing driver Kevin Harvick on board his Budweiser #29 car.

The ride along experience is the first in a brilliant behind-the-scenes Surround Video series that allows NASCAR fans to ride shotgun with Kevin, and then follow the RCR race team as they prepare his #29 car from workshop to Race track. It’s a great project and reinforces Budweiser as a leading NASCAR sponsor by offering fans a truly remarkable insight into a modern Racing team.

Earlier this month, the web versions were released and this week we have pushed the  iOS BUD 360 app in the App Store! Based on gyroscopic navigation, you’ll really experience like being in the heart of the NASCAR action!

RENAULT | SCORCH LONDON | RE-IGNITE VA VA VOOM

Production agency ‘Scorch London’ brought yellowBird in to re-ignite some Renault Clio ‘Va Va Voom’ with a 360º advert specifically aimed at social media for the launch of the new Renault Clio. Taking inspiration from the history of the Va Va Voom campaigns the cameras capture a prank test drive the new Clio in a regular South London street as the street suddenly turns into a bustling Parisian suburb. Two ads were produced, one featuring female dancers and one with male counterparts.

The 360º footage sits alongside the hugely successful viral campaign which received over 3 million views in the first weekend after launch.

Bud Light® Hotel Super Bowl Experience Sweepstakes | Live

Super Bowl XLVII rolled into the ‘Big Easy’ and our Live team were there to capture the madness. The entire city of New Orleans was jumping with parties and star-studded events, but none better than the legendary Bud Light Hotel. Thousands of fans lined the streets to get into the exclusive party and yellowBird were there to document the fun and share the party with millions of Bud Lights facebook fans.

Fans could watch the show LIVE and then on VOD delivered straight to the Bud Light Facebook pages. Pitbull, Flo-rida and Stevie Wonder rocked the crowd into the night with amazing performances as the beer flowed. Check out the highlights video, you’ll see Janelle Monae, and Gary Clark but best of all was Stevie, our team managed to get our Surround Video Kit on his piano! Hope you enjoy!

BBC Radio 1 | Sara Cox | FUN. Live Lounge

yellowBird were invited by BBC Radio 1 to shoot a Surround Video Live Lounge session with the brilliant band FUN. The show was listened to by 3 million people and 360º video hosting on the front page of the radio one page as well as the Bands facebook pages. Legendary DJ Sarah Cox was thrilled to work with yellowBird team (we’re hoping for a few more sessions with her in the near future!) Surround Video works brilliantly with this style of Music content.

BBC Top Gear | Surround Video in TV show

Top Gear, The world’s most watched factual television program commissioned yellowBird to join them on location in Nevada for a Range Rover stunt high in the sierra mountains. The content was amazing as our cameras captured panoramic footage for the broadcast show. The episode which aired on the Top Gear on 24th Feb follows James May as he races the new Range Rover against an unmanned US Armed Forces vehicle.

Our cameras were used to film sweeping panoramic footage of the desert, as well as replacing multiple camera set-ups within the vehicles. Top Gear were excited about the capabilities of Surround Video as they wanted to show Top Gear sequences in new and exciting ways.

Subaru Forester Live | AIO-Pro | VOD

Inspired by the new genesis of Subaru’s historical campaigns and demonstrations, yellowBird was invited by Japanese based AIO-Pro to create buzz around the launch of the new Forester model. In Forester Live, Subaru will prove its all-round high performance by driving across 5 continents for an entire year.

Yet, yellowBird has already shot  3 out of 5 locations of the Forester Live campaign. We captured the most exciting sights of Tasmania, Australia and Norway. We love to celebrate fashion in 360º and this years London fashion week pushed boundaries as legendary fashion house TOPMAN broadcast their very own live stream in 360 at their prestigious London Collections A/W 2013 fashion show in the heart of London.

Topman really hit the ground running take digital catwalk show streaming to the next level by enabling fans to not only watch the Topman Design show live on 360° cameras, but also interact with show V.I.P’s who will be tweeting live from the front row.

The Surround Video application, developed by yellowBird, will be showcasing the live stream of the show where fans will be able to scroll left or right, up or down as if they were actually on the front row themselves in this exciting 360° experience. Using the “shoot the show” feature, customers will be able to press a camera icon, share the image across social channels without it interrupting the show.
